Bones & Beeker: Bones and Beeker – VINYL LP

Producer/multi-instrumentalist BK-One (Brother Ali/Rhymesayers) and singer-songwriter/guitarist Anthony Newes (Villa) combine hip-hop sensibilities with harmony-rich pop songwriting. The results are psychedelic soundscapes of quirky percussion and punchy guitar riffs (like a Brazilian Vampire Weekend); crunchy drums and catchy, falsetto vocals (think Golden Era hip-hop crossing FM radio signals with late-’70’s blue-eyed soul); soft yet clanging freak-folk (like Simon & Garfunkel backed by the Animal Collective); even late-night, dubby modern disco (like Todd Terje producing the Bee Gees).
