Broken Heartbreakers: Wintersun – COMPACT DISCS

The Broken Heartbreakers (great name!) play wonderfully understated Folk-Pop with a slight Country tinge. Although the music is unobtrusive, the songs leave a definite impression with the listener. Recorded in the band’s living room, ‘Winter sun’ sounds surprisingly sophisticated. Nothing is over-done. The subtle instrumentation and quiet arrangements, give the songs a chance to breathe. This record will definitely appeal to fans Low and Mazzy Star and also vintage Flying Nun acts like the Bats, the Renderers, and Breathing Cage.
