Afro-Latin dancefloor heat from D.C.’s Sol Power All-Stars! After killing it on GAMM, the crew make their debut on Brooklyn’s BSTRD BOOTS imprint with a killer 4 tracker. Check the opener “Mesdames Yo” that bumps up the traditional Compas sound of Haitan band Les Difficiles de Petion-Ville for maximum dance floor action. Up next, “Baila Oshun” takes vocals from Haitian/New Orleans jazz band Les Hombres Calientes and puts it over an impressive original production. The fire continues on the flip with the burning afro-disco vibe of “Afrika Afrika” from Senegal’s Black Soul, and the dubby late night goodness of “Night In Tunisia” that’ll keep ’em dancing till way after last call. Recommended.
