Clash Issue 86 Beady Eye

Always outspoken, Liam Gallagher and his Beady Eye shocktroops are back. New album ‘BE’ is a defiant step forward, with renowned American producer (and TV On The Radio lynchpin) Dave Sitek manning the controls. In a candid interview, each member takes it in turn to open up to Clash. As ever, the final word is left to Liam Gallagher: “Without sounding like a hippy cunt… it’s just love, man. I’ve got a lot of love.”

Elsewhere in this double-sized issue:Returning with their first blast of new material in five years, Primal Scream could be forgiven for taking it easy – yet new album ‘More Light’ is one of their angriest, most diverse offerings to date. As Bobby Gillespie explains, “We just had a strong desire to make music.”

Plus: John Legend, Disclosure, These New Puritans, XXYYXX, Bipolar Sunshine, Young Fathers and more.
