The Logitech Carl Zeiss Tessar HD Webcam represents a legacy of precision optics engineered for high-definition video communication, most notably embodied in the iconic Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 and its successor, the C920. This webcam series is distinguished by its premium glass lens, developed through a collaboration between Logitech and Carl Zeiss. For the C920, the classic four-element Zeiss Tessar® design was refined into a five-element system, meticulously focusing light onto the sensor to capture video with maximum detail and minimal distortion. Designed to deliver Full HD 1080p video recording at 30 frames per second and fluid 720p HD video calls, it utilizes H.264 encoding for efficient compression and Logitech Fluid Crystal™ technology to ensure smooth, true-to-life colors even in varied lighting conditions.Built for intuitive, professional-grade use, the webcam features an autofocus motor similar to those found in smartphone cameras, ensuring sharp images from as close as 10 centimeters. It integrates stereo microphones for natural, spatial audio and includes a stable, rubberized clip that securely mounts to monitors, laptops, or tripods. Whether for preserving family moments or conducting business-grade video conferences, this webcam delivers reliable performance with optics that set a benchmark for image quality in its class.
