Matt Green & D-Formed – Base Corrupt #2 – 12 Vinyl

Second release from the Bass Corrupt camp, with Matt Green and D-Formed once again working with pristine percussive edits and a formidable low-end anchor for some rugged, minimal dubstep variations. “String Theory” revolves around a single disjointed vocal sample drenched in reverb and echo, stretched and patched up for an unearthly line in narration. “Moment of Clarity” on the flipside is more forgiving, making use of nice little chiming melodies borrowed from the IDM lexicon, while “True Lies” ends things off on a sturdy footing, with a no-nonsense lo-slung bass session that works a treat.
