SABIAN 14″ B8X Hat Bottom
The B8X Hat Bottom delivers crisp, lively pedal response with a tight, controlled feel—essential for locked-in hi-hat tracking in the studio. This heavy bottom cymbal pairs with a medium top to create clean, penetrating hi-hats that cut through any mix with bright, articulate definition. Built from B8 bronze alloy, it offers genuine bronze tonality at an accessible price point, making it a practical choice for project studios and home recording setups.
Tone & Sonic Character
Precision formed, hammered, and lathed for pure, tonally tight sounds, the B8X produces the bright, cutting character that bronze delivers. The heavy bottom cymbal works in concert with a medium top to generate crisp chick articulation and clear stick response, ensuring your hi-hat recordings sit defined and punchy in the mix rather than muddying the pocket with washy overtones.
Construction & Design
Built from B8 bronze alloy and subjected to precision forming, lathing, and additional hammering, the B8X Hat Bottom is engineered for consistent sonic performance and durability across multiple recording sessions. The heavy-weight bottom construction provides stability and definition, essential characteristics for tight hi-hat articulation that translates well both live on mic and in playback.
