Sabian 20″ AAX Chinese Cymbal
The Sabian 20″ AAX Chinese delivers the cutting, trashy character that defines the Chinese cymbal category, with a responsive feel that rewards controlled strikes and open playing. Its bright, cutting voice cuts through dense mixes without getting lost in the wash, making it a natural choice for producers layering percussion in the box or tracking live drums. This cymbal serves recording engineers and home-studio drummers seeking authentic Chinese cymbal articulation within Sabian’s modern AAX series.
Sound Character & Studio Utility
The bright sound profile combined with a large raw bell produces immediate attack and sizzling sustain typical of quality Chinese cymbals. The high profile and wide lip contribute to its cutting edge and projection, making it effective in recording and production contexts where clarity and articulation matter for tracking and mixing.
Construction & Tracking Performance
Cast from B20 bronze in a thin thickness, this cymbal balances responsiveness with session durability. The substantial 6.00 lbs weight provides sufficient mass for projection while maintaining the nimble character expected from Chinese cymbal designs, allowing players to articulate accents and dynamics during recording without excessive effort.
