Wooden Camera 214000 Quick Black for RED DSMC2
The new QuickBack (RED DSMC2) allows for any standard V-Mount or Gold Mount plate to beattached directly to the back of the RED DSMC2 Brains (Monstro, Helium,Gemini), Weapon, Epic Weapon (Epic-W), Scarlet Weapon (Scarlet-W), Raven, andother DSMC2 cameras or to the back of the Base Expander and REDvolt Expanderwithout tools! Simply turn the four knurled thumbscrews to lock it into place.The Quick Back (Weapon) is designed to be compatible with our previous batteryplates for Epic and Scarlet like the WC V-Mount (Epic/Scarlet) and WC GoldMount (Epic/Scarlet) which will help users transition from one camera to thenext. We will also be offering a cable-less WC V-Mount(Weapon/Epic-W/Scarlet-W/Raven) and WC Gold Mount(Weapon/Epic-W/Scarlet-W/Raven) that provides power to the camera via the 13pin pogo connector on the back. This will be available as a user installableupgrade.
Regardingconfiguration of the device, V-Mount plates can be attached in two differentways by repositioning the smaller component. The “low” mode placesthe battery plate even with the top of the camera body. The “high”mode places the battery plate even with the bottom of the back face of thecamera. For Gold Mount plates, there are three options. The same “high”and “low” modes but also a “middle” configuration where thesmaller component is not used at all.
Note thatwhat is shown in the photos are prototypes but the final version will lookalmost identical. The pogo pin versions are shown for illustration purposes andare subject to change.
