Sabian 14″ AA Mini Chinese
This rapid-response cymbal delivers immediate articulation and a fast, dry cut that sits perfectly in any mix. The 14″ AA Mini Chinese excels at quick accents and special effects, making it an essential tool for drum tracking and live recording where precise, cutting tones without sustain are critical. Bright and explosive, it embodies the vintage character that defined the AA series while maintaining modern clarity.
Tone & Response
The B20 bronze construction—80% copper, 20% tin, and traces of silver—produces the classic, bright sounds the AA series is known for. Its thin profile generates an explosive and biting attack with quick decay, ideal for recording rock, funk, jazz, and blues where cutting definition cuts through the mix and complements other kit elements without masking or muddying adjacent frequencies.
Construction & Specifications
At approximately 660g with a traditional finish, this Model 21416 cymbal is built to endure consistent tracking and session work while maintaining its responsive character. The Automated Anvil (AA) manufacturing process ensures reliable quality and consistency across the cymbal’s surface for predictable recording performance.
