Sequential Take 5 Compact Poly Synthesizer Desktop Module

The Sequential Take 5 Desktop Module delivers the classic sound of Sequentials Prophet lineage in a compact, space-efficient analog synthesizer. Featuring the same analog oscillators and filter architecture as the Take 5 keyboard version, this desktop module offers warm, punchy tones with modern modulation, effects, and performance toolsideal for studios, live rigs, and space-conscious setups.

Built around a five-voice VCO/VCF architecture, Take 5 combines vintage character with modern flexibility, making it equally suited for classic subtractive synthesis and contemporary sound design.

Key Features

  • 5-Voice Analog Polyphony: True VCO/VCF architecture with Prophet-5inspired sound

  • Dual Analog VCOs + Sub Oscillator: Thick basses, rich leads, and complex harmonic content

  • Prophet-Style 4-Pole Low-Pass Filter: Smooth, warm, and punchy response

  • Continuously Variable Waveshaping: Expanded timbral range beyond traditional waveforms

  • Analog FM: Front-panel access for aggressive and modern tones

  • Vintage Knob: Adds per-voice variation for authentic analog character

  • Dual Digital Effects + Analog Overdrive: Delay, reverb, modulation effects, and saturation

  • Nearly One-Knob-Per-Function Layout: Fast, intuitive hands-on control

  • 64-Step Polyphonic Sequencer

  • Multimode Arpeggiator

Synthesis & Modulation

Each of Take 5s five voices features two analog VCOs and a sub oscillator routed through a classic Sequential 4-pole low-pass filter. Modulation is handled by two LFOs (one global and one per voice) and two ADSR envelopes with delay, allowing for evolving textures, animated pads, and dynamic performance patches.

Performance Features

  • Polyphonic portamento (glide)

  • Hold switch for sustained notes

  • Unison mode with selectable voice count (15 voices)

  • Multiple key priority modes for monophonic performance

Compact Desktop Design

The Take 5 Desktop Module fits easily into tight studio spaces or live performance setups while retaining full synthesis depth and immediate control. Its streamlined format makes it easy to integrate with MIDI controllers, sequencers, and modular or hybrid rigs.
